Rooms & Rates

The Black Wolf Lodge is situated on 487 acres of unspoiled land adjacent to State park land in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. The Black Wolf Lodge has six private master suites and eight large rooms. Every room has all of the standard amenities, is individually decorated and is named for either Colorado mountain peaks or Native American tribal nations. Every master suite features a king sized bed, stonework showers and bath areas, double sink vanities, and walk-out balconies with views of Snow Water Springs to the south or Wellington Lake to the west.

Delicious, healthy meals are prepared by one of three of our rotating chefs in our professional kitchen. Our Master Chef is Henri Casionne, who is assisted by sous-chefs Anthony Kellis and Gloria Francis. We also welcome periodic visits by Oscar Calderon (Argentina) and Felipe Costas (New York) in our off-season. All of our meals are prepared fresh for you, and include fluffy omelets, slow cooked steel-cut oatmeal, fresh fruits and home baked breads, and we pre-pack healthy lunches for you while you're out during the day. Since many people hike or take long horseback rides through the canyon to enjoy their time away from civilization, we make sure that you have something healthy and refreshing, like chipotle-grilled chicken wraps, pre-packed Thai curry chicken salads, fresh fruit and vegetable sticks, and of course cold bottles of spring water. Dinner is always unique, but dishes like Beef Bourguignon, Lamb Osso Buco, and Seared Ancho Pepper Chicken are the types of meals you might expect. We are happy to accommodate for vegetarian meals and other dietary considerations. We receive offer seafood on Fridays, usually wild Pacific Salmon and Dungeness crab that is flown in fresh to supplement rainbow trout from local fishermen that we purchase direct all spring and summer.

Although many people come up to the Black Wolf Lodge as a way to get away the harried pace of life, we understand that everybody has a different idea of relaxing. Some just want a glass of wine and a good book on our south deck. Others prefer a brisk hike along the ridgeline and through the many aspen groves. For those of you who wish to be more active, we have the following activities available for you:

Hiking Fishing
Horseback Riding Yoga
Sweat Lodge Meditation

Call us and we'll be happy to accommodate your needs in any way we can.
